Michael Harrison

Professional:

Michael is a European Patent Attorney, a Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney and a Chartered Trade mark attorney, and has MA and DPhil degrees in chemistry from Oxford University.  

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Chartered Chemist. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and was its President during the year 2005/6.  He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.

Expertise:                

Michael specialises in patent prosecution and drafting with specific interests in inventions in the areas of chemistry and mechanical devices.  He also undertakes trade mark work including the filing and prosecution of trade mark applications throughout the world.

Industry:

For many years Michael has been an Associate Director of Aesseal plc.  He has been closely involved with the intellectual property of this company from its inception over 30 years ago to its position now as the world’s fourth largest mechanical seal business.
