Lisa Pauline Brown
Lisa Pauline Brown (Lady Lisa Markham) is a European Patent Attorney and a Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney. She has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Toxicology and a PhD in mammalian metabolism and post-doctoral experience in Occupational Health.
She is a Member of the British Toxicology Society, Chairwoman of a UK biotech company specialising in immuno-sensors, an External Advisor on a Board for Regenerative Medicine and an Advisor for two medical device companies.
Lisa, has worked in private practise for over 20 years and specializes in patent prosecution, drafting, patent strategies and portfolio management. She has a particular interest in therapeutics, regenerative and personalised medicine and medical devices.
Before entering the patents profession in 1995, Lisa worked in large pharma research for 5 years, as a Toxicology Adviser for ICI PLC in both their Pharmaceutical and Agrochemical Divisions.
Lisa's experience of taking SMEs to AIM listing from initial concept to commercial products shows she has both commercial acumen as well as patent awareness.
